Mr. JIANG Dingzhi was appointed Vice Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission in December 2005.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. JIANG served as Vice Governor of Jiangsu province (February 2003 每 December 2005), CPC Secretary of Wuxi city in Jiangsu province (August 2000 每 February 2003), Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the CPC Jiangsu provincial committee (November 1996 每 August 2000), the CPC Secretary of Yangzhong city in Jiangsu province (October 1994 每 November 1996), Deputy Secretary General of the CPC committee of Zhenjiang city in Jiangsu province (July 1991 每 October 1994). In addition, he had been working at the organization department as well as the education bureau in Zhenjiang city, Jiangsu province from January 1979 to January 1991.
Mr. JIANG was born in 1954 in Jiangsu province. He was at the Philosophy Department of Nanjing University from September 1983 to July 1985. He received a B.A. in economics and management from the Central Party School in 1999, and an M.A. in engineering from Nanjing Institute of Technology in 2001.
