Relevant issues concerning ‘Guidelines on Promoting the Application of Safe and Controllable Information Technology (Year 2014-2015)’(Yin Jian Ban Fa No.317, 2014)

 

In 2014, China Banking Regulatory Commission (the CBRC) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC jointly issued ‘Notice on Issuing Guidelines on Promoting the Application of Safe and Controllable Information Technology (Year 2014-2015)’ (Yin Jian Ban Fa No.317, 2014). Relevant issues about the above mentioned document are described as follows.

1.     The detailed method and procedures of source code filing are still in the process of formulation, and opinions from relevant parties will be fully consulted before final implementation.

2.     In the banking industry and at current stage, with regard to attached software owning independent intellectual property rights (IPR), the suppliers only need to submit the proof of the IPR ownership or the legitimate source of the software.

3.     There are no national differences with regards to above-mentioned requirements.
